JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Tanzania Public Health Association (TPHA), is a Non-governmental Organization (NGO), non-profit professional and voluntary organisation preoccupied principally with public health and disease prevention and control. The TPHA deals with the prevention of diseases and promotes healthy lifestyles and practices through advocacy, lobbying, education and awareness creation on public health issues at all levels of the Tanzanian society. TPHA is inviting applications from qualified persons to fill the following post:-

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate is expected to:
1. Be a Holder of a degree with a Master's degree In public health or Project Management, Biostatistics, from a recognised University.
2. A mature person, male or female with at least five years' experience of working in a field related to public health research or project management, innovative
4. Have the ability to organize efficiently team own workflow, results, accountability and work independently
5. Have Good working knowledge of modern telecommunications tools and systems
6. Have Good computer knowledge with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.
7. Have proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible directly to the Executive Secretary, the Programme Manager shall have the following responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the overall day to day running the TPHA office including personnel supervision
2. Preparation of TPHA annual plans and budgeting
3. Monitoring fund expenditure in accordance with the approved budget.
4. Preparation of project proposals and write-ups for soliciting funds and income generation
5. Preparation new projects and coordination of the association's projects and programmes implementation
6. To coordinate and prepare progress reports of ongoing projects and programmes.
7. To Prepare, organize, internal meetings and conferences seminars and workshops
8. Follow-up implementation of the Strategic Plan activities of the Association
9. To record Minutes of the Executive Committee meetings and follow up implementation.
10. Communicate with Chapters, Facilitates information exchange among the members and Register new members in the association
11. Maintain a public health resource center, website updating and Maintain management information system
12. Perform any other duties as may be prescribed by the Executive Secretary
1.3 Terms of Employment
(a) The Programme Manager shall be engaged on a two-year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance of his duties and responsibilities above. In the first instance, shall start with a six months probationary period.

Salary
An attractive package commensurate with qualifications and experience shall be offered to the successful candidate.
